Start your weekend with a shimmy!

Classic bellydance foundations and technique, designed for fun and fitness, low-impact exercise, high-energy drills, all levels welcome. New material for continuing students, instruction on zills, veils, and traditional Middle Eastern rhythms, discussions of music and dance history. Beginning Level: Tuesdays 5:30 to 6:45pm Class begins June 20
Introduction or continued instruction for mastering the basics of bellydance, includes isolations and technique, plus historical, musical, and cultural information about Middle Eastern Dance.

Intermediate Level: Thursdays 5:30 to 7pm
Class begins June 22
For the student who has a thorough understanding of bellydance basics. Increase your movement repertoire, enhance your individual technique, learn new combinations. Includes instruction on zills, veils, costuming, choreography, history and music. Instructor approval required prior to registration.

New Class Session Starts April 8th



An excellent way to wake up on Saturday morning! Combine fun with fitness and increase your flexibility, strength, and self-confidence in a comfortable setting. Technique, isolations, foundation movements, and traveling moves in Egyptian style.

Course includes instruction in zills/finger cymbals, veils, choreography, plus information on the historical and musical elements of Middle Eastern dance.

Since this is a technique-driven class, follow the 9 to 11am class with another hour of Amani's excellent choreography-based teaching method, located just 10 blocks away at Studio B.

Marah's classes are Saturday morning 9 to 11am at The Dance Factory, taught through LCC's Community Education Listings under Personal Enrichment. Ten week session beginning April 8, 2006
